Recently stayed at this hotel and would definitely stay again. It was close to the ferry( walking distance) close to shopping, there was grocery stores/shopping near. north beach ( voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world) is walking distance. They have a continental breakfast included which is pretty basic but does the trick. The pool is nice. My room was a bay view and the view was breathtaking. My family just enjoyed a 7 day stay at hotel Almendros. It was a great hotel in a great location. The staff was nice and friendly. The room was nice and clean. The maids were very helpful. We stayed on the the street side 2nd floor and enjoyed the music and people watching. The hotel had great policy's that helped conserve energy and protect the environment! We had an incredible time at the Ixchel Beach house. Emilio and the rest of the team at the restaurant and beach were excellent. We were in room 409 in building two and it was fantastic. Each room is different, so make sure you request a room that has been recently renovated. The area surrounding the hotel come alive at night. Don't forget to try the churros and marquesitas from local street vendors. We really enjoyed our time in Isla Mujeres.
The property is beautiful! Located on the beach of the iconic Playa Norte. I was more than ok not having beach views because the garden is so gorgeous and the walk to the sand was probably 20 seconds from my room.

The condos are right on Playa Norte, the best beach on the island. And just a stroll away from Hidalgo street, where all the restaurants are located. Very friendly and helpful staff. We rented a 2 bedroom condo and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would do it again!
We really enjoyed the free Zama beach club access daily with padded chair and umbrella right on a beautiful stretch of beach (a very short walk from hotel). The free breakfast was a great way to try an authentic meal that we wouldn’t have otherwise—the chilaquiles were delicious.

This was the third resort I've stayed at on the island, and it is was my best experience to date. The resort consists of 6 very unique rooms. This allowed for an intimate and personable experience. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. You seriously will not encounter anything like it anywhere else on the island.

It was a bit tricky getting into the area. So from the cancun airport you will need to take a taxi or bus to the Puerto Juarez. Then u will need to get a ferry to get to the island with is where the resort is at. But other then that everything else was great.
Room was nicely decorated and very clean. The restaurant & pool was a great place to spend leisurely afternoons after enjoying the island during the mornings. Staff was prompt in communication. Only needed assistance twice during stay, but both times there was a response in under 5 minutes.

We had a fabulous stay. It is within minutes of walking to restaurants, the beach and shopping. It is a little piece of paradise amongst the hustle and bustle of Playa Norte. Very quaint and quiet hotel on the north side. Alex the manager was extremely hospitable and friendly. Thank you and we will be back again.
The view was out of this world. The room had only what was needed - no huge amounts of extras and it was cleaned every single day. Air conditioned - comfortable. Bed and bedding was hard - but that was the very least of concerns. Just know if you are into soft beds - it isn't happening. We didn't mind a bit as we were exhausted from the beautiful beachfront -great staff - area shopping - etc. We literally could not believe our view. We stayed in room 5 - and it was breathtaking.
We stayed at Na Balam in 2013 and loved it. We went for a music festival--Island Fest. When it was decided to hold the Island Fest on Isla Mujeres again this year we of course decided to stay at Na Balam again. We highly recommend the suite with the plunge pool. Having your own little pool to cool off and overlooking the beach is heaven.

Adorable boutique hotel with a ton of charm. If you're looking for an experience that's not your typical 5-star-all-inclusive resort that tends to lack culture, and if you want something a bit more authentic and quaint while still getting those outstanding beach/pool views, this is it. My boyfriend and I are both adventurous, cultured world travelers who appreciate both luxury and boutique.
