First impression was the haze of cannabis as you entered the building.
The reception is dated but the staff were efficient and friendly.
The rooms, corridors and stairways are “tired”, dated and rather cramped.
The room has a bed, tv, kettle, bedside tables with lights.
Unfortunately it also has metal framed, single glazed windows (one stuck open), the en suite again feels tired although it was clean and plenty of hot water.
Breakfast (full English) was well cooked, reasonably hot, but of average flavour. The waiter who took our order did not ask what kind of eggs we would like, so we got a fried egg.
Other options were available and they looked ok, if small. The tea was fine.
Overall a room for a night of basic quality, well overpriced (even for Manchester) and in need of investment.
