The hotel, by appearance is very appealing. The staff, courteous and most accomodating. Our room spacious and always kept clean. The art adorning the walls, wonderful. It is the absence of attention to detail that derailed what should have been a great stay at a fairly new and very tastefully decorated "boutique hotel."
The bath mat left dirty and tattered. No hooks in the bathroom where on can hang clothes or bathrobes. The room service menu says mineral water, it is not. The internet not working until we asked. Sign in was sometimes problematic. Strength was problematic for streaming. The television never worked properly. Finally we were asked if we wanted to change rooms, the night before we were to leave.
This is not a family friendly hotel. Children under a height of three need to be watched. Railings have gaps wide enough for toddlers to get through. The fall can be three stories. On the roof deck there is no gate to the fire escape.
The food was good. Filipino and American. We did room service a lot. Their happy hour pizza special (a two for the price of one offer) was nice and the pizza tasty. The breakfast buffet was changed to an ala cart menu our second day. Thanks to them for comping our toddlers breakfast. There is no children's menu.
The roof deck and bar is a nice escape. Quiet with trees at the back of the property. The late morning and early evening breezes made it a wonderful place to sit. Plus there was never anyone there.
