The carpeting needs cleaning! The front desk staff disappointed me. I requested a 7:30 am wake-up call. I received it on MY CELL PHONE, as opposed to the desk phone beside my bed. After accepting the call, I forgot to hang up as I set my phone down; the line was left open because the front desk person didn't hang up. About a minute after setting the phone down, I heard a voice speaking into the phone. I picked the phone up to address the person speaking. They identified themselves as somebody from fire & rescue and wanted to know if I needed emergency assistance. I told them NO, and they continued asking me if I had phoned in error and if I was in distress. I informed them that I had not and again declined any assistance. I hung up. When I got downstairs to request a printed receipt, I was denied one, because I was told one would be sent to me via email. I questioned that but left it alone when she wouldn't honor my simple request. I mentioned that I had never been a guest in a hotel where a wake-up call was made to my CELL PHONE. I was told that there had been problems with the desk phone at the front desk where the wake-up calls were typically made from, so that's why the person did that. When I mentioned what else ensued from the line being left open, the woman at the desk tried to walk it back by saying they didn't call me on my cell phone. Wasn't worth debating so I left with a bad taste in my mouth from the way they chose to speak to me! .
