The room is excellent and clean, but dealing with the owner is a strange Sicilian adventure. Actually, in the well-groomed 60's apartment, an employee is only for a few hours. I arrived at 3:30 p.m. to check in, and this employee appeared only at 4:00 p.m. I understand that the check-in time of 3:30 p.m. and check-out time of 9:30 a.m. is in the contract, as it is said in the "fine print". I asked to leave my luggage and return for it later on. I left s at 9:30 a.m., but I have not received any response (?), when I paid in Palermo to store my luggage in a tourist service office, I received a message from the owner stating that he just saw my request... The neighborhood is typically Palermo; if someone is interested in Mediterranean sociology, it is a good place to experiment. At 12:00 at night there were fireworks because it was a neighborhood celebration. In a nearby square there is a bar where they serve good croissants and understand the concept of American coffee, excellent. This bog hotel is not close to the center unless someone likes to walk with their luggage through alleys without proper sidewalks. I had the balcony room, the view is very good to capture the liveliness of a Sicilian neighborhood. If you like tranquility, it is better to look for another hotel.
