When I arrived, I waited in a line with 2 other people to check in. After about 10 mins and no movement, as the clerk was running around, the person informed me “their internet is down, they can’t check anyone in. I would have appreciated an announcement and apologies from the desk clerk. Upon asking, she said it should be back up
In “10-15” mins. I had already waited close to 30. Finally after waiting an hour, and asking multiple times if they could just check anyone in who has proof they paid in full for a room, they agreed. This is horrible customer service. There should always be a contingency plan for when things such as no internet occur. No one should have to wait over an hour for a room they already paid for and can prove via receipt. I had an early flight with a 4am shuttle and was planning on being able to relax and get to bed early in my room. This delay was aggravating and unnecessary. My understanding is that when I left for my flight at 4am this morning, the internet was still down. Do Better Marriott.
