Check in was smooth, the girl at the front desk was sweet. All information provided said to call to the front desk if you needed anything, but there was no phone in the room so this makes it impossible for overseas travellers who don’t have roaming to request anything from the front desk without having to walk there and ask in person.
All pillows in every room were feather, which I am allergic to. I didn’t think to request no feather pillows, as I have never encountered this scenario before. I went down to the front desk to inquire whether they had any non feather pillows. The gentleman working told me he would find some and bring them up for me. In the meantime, we set the pillows from our room out into the hallway. The pillows sat there in the hallway until after 10am the next morning (this is when we left for the day). We had no pillows for our first nights sleep. Not the end of the world, I know, but not the greatest service or comfort for your customers either. When we returned around 6 in the evening, the pillows in the hallway were gone, and finally there were non feather pillows in our room. Nearly a day, we had to wait on the non feather pillows. If we’d not been staying more than one night, I’d have never seen them at all. The pool and spa area, as well as the restaurant and bar area were all very nice. Water available (still or sparkling) by the tap on all floors. For ice you had to go to the bar. Mold in our tub/shower. No fridge in room. Housekeeping not great.
