We originally booked this trip to see Aerosmith at the Yum Center and it would have been the perfect place to stay for that concert. When Aerosmith cancelled, we decided to take the trip anyway as we had never been to Louisville. The hotel is nice, but we barely saw any staff, sometimes not even going in or out of the building. There is a large homeless population downtown, but we walked to dinner one night and breakfast one morning nearby and felt safe. You must have a key card to enter the hotel (or get buzzed in, like to register). There is a parking garage attached and an elevator down to the hotel entrance and you don’t need a key card for that so was not as comfortable with it. Be aware the street noise is VERY loud. The room had a white noise machine that helped a little and there was one set of disposable earplugs provided. We were NOT told at checkin that room service was every other day - which does not bother me at all, except if you are not going to service every day, why don’t you leave enough coffee for more than one day? Had to go down to the desk upon returning to get coffee for the next morning and they are kind of stingy with it. Realized the next morning on awakening that they only gave us coffee, but not cups, so back to the desk for cups. They said they didn’t have any - really??? Housekeeping stocks these, so can’t believe that. Sent to the restaurant to get cups and since it was a Starbucks, they really didn’t seem to want to give them to us, but did.
