Upon my arrival, the front desk representative had difficulty locating my booking. I was then informed that my reservation had somehow been canceled earlier that day. I went ahead and rebooked the room. When I returned to the front desk, the representative questioned me, with an attitude, about whether I had booked it again, making it seem as though assisting me was an inconvenience.
After she finally found my new reservation, I felt uncomfortable with some of her questions regarding my payment options.
To make matters worse, she then informed me that I would need to walk up four flights of stairs because the elevator was out of order, and all of the king bed rooms on the property were located on the fourth floor. I’ve never heard of a situation like that before.
She offered to place me in a room with a queen bed on the second floor, as though that would be an acceptable alternative. As someone who is 6’3” and had just completed a six-and-a-half-hour drive, this was far from ideal or comfortable.
Overall, this experience left me extremely dissatisfied, from the mishandled reservation and unprofessional attitude to the lack of suitable accommodations given the circumstances.
