Me and my fiancé where staying at Botanic Sanctuary for three nights for our mini honeymoon during mid February.
Upon our arrival to the hotel room I got an overall feeling that it wasn’t really cleaned thoroughly. A couple of minutes later I wanted to grab a cold drink from the mini bar, where I found a opened jar of baby food in it. I immediately called the reception, the receptionist said they where very sorry and would send staff to remove it as soon as possible.
The day after I saw that the baby food was still in the mini bar. I called once again to the reception and reminded them kindly to please throw away the baby food. The same night when I was fast asleep I was woke up by the reception, which called our room at 00.45 in the middle of the night, and when I picked up the phone, no one answered and hung up.
The morning after I asked the staff about the phone call, but they did not know anything about it and said it must be a mistake. Really strange.
Last but not least, on our very last night when I thought things can’t get worse…. The fire alarm went off in our room at 4AM. I called the reception to ask about the fire alarm, and got the answer that there has been some mistake and that we shouldn’t worry about it.
The morning after on our check-out I was sure they would compensate us in any way. We had a bill of around 900€ (mini bar, spa etc) but did not say sorry or compensate us in any way at all.
Such a disappointment and will never return
