On arrival, i waited in reception for a few minutes then started shouting Hello for attention. When he finally came out of the kitchen, there was no apology for keeping me waiting, he just asked me my name. He then made me sign a sheet of paper with room details on, but there were no terms and conditions for the booking, so I enquired what I was signing and he advised that he would need to print out the t’s and c’s, but he couldn’t be bothered and that I should stop worrying as there’s nothing to worry about. He then went on to tell me my room number and location, which happened to be on the 3rd floor. There are no lifts and therefore I had to walk up 6 flights of stairs with my luggage.
The room was ok, dusty in some areas but I just tried to make a good situation out of a bad situation, knowing I would never stay here again.
During my stay, I could hear everything in other rooms, incl. the banging of hotel doors as other guests were leaving. At 10.40am, whilst still sleeping, I heard a persistent loud bang at my door which scared me out of my sleep, when I put my pyjamas on and rushed to the door in a panic, I was advised that I need to check out at 11, I grabbed my phone & showed him that checkout was actually 11.30am, he continued to tell me I was wrong, but then he agreed that it was their mistake and I could leave at 11.30am.
I could say more, but ran out of characters.
At 11.30am I left my key at reception as there was no one there. I won’t be returning ever!
