This is an amazing place to stay for families. When we previously stayed we’ve always had to get 2 rooms for our family of 4, which was not ideal when the kids were younger.
It’s nice that the toilet is in a separate room so that the shower/bath can be used even if someone is using the toilet. It was also nice that there were 2 bathroom sinks.
Even though we didn’t cook, we did end up using the refrigerator/freezer, microwave and toaster oven quite a lot. It was great to have real utensils and dishes, and they even provided dishwashing detergent, a sponge, a drying towel and a dish rack for convenience.
Since it was hot during our stay, we ended up doing laundry every day so that it wouldn’t stink. The W/D is very small so a day’s worth of clothes for 4 is about all it can handle. The dryer takes forever so we ended up using their hangers a lot.
As others have mentioned, it’s a quick walk to public transit (the JR is literally a block behind the hotel) and there are several markets and restaurants in the area and a yummy Taiyaki place right on the corner.
The staff is always pleasant and courteous, but don’t expect them all to be fluent in English (it’s their country after all and they have visitors from lots of places). But with a translator app and hand gestures you can pretty much still get what you need from them.
We didn’t mind not having daily housekeeping since they will still take your trash or dirty towels every day
Would definitely recommend and stay again!
