Persons in charge (during my stay a couple of persons; the owners) are kind and helpful. But the hotel -very well placed, is very old, perhaps from the '60s or '70s, and has never been refurbished. It is clean, and breakfast -except the room, is fine. There are many better and modern hotels in Lisieux at competitive prices. Nevertheless I do not care: Lisieux is the homeplace of saint Therese, a discalced carmelite, and austerity -with dignity, suits well. I cannot recommend it for any visitor; only for pilgrims.
