This is my second time at the Comfort Hotel. Last year's experience was much better than this time around. The services have declined. When you ask for laundry service, they no longer provide it and instead direct you to two washers and one dryer for self-service on the first floor, which are always occupied and often ruin clothes. When you request room cleaning, they only make the bed and clean the sink, without vacuuming or mopping. Additionally, the reception rarely answers the phone, even after multiple attempts. I asked for help with the dryer, provided my room number, and was assured someone would assist, but no one came. I requested hangers, which were never delivered. When I asked for a scale, I was told I would find it in my room upon my return, but it was not there. These issues exemplify the consistently poor service here, and I will not be returning next year during my annual visit to Jeddah.
Furthermore, during my stay, they conducted a fire alarm test without prior notification upon check-in. The alarm was sounded a few hours after my arrival, following an international flight, causing considerable inconvenience. I had to descend five floors via stairs to the parking lot, only to find myself the sole individual there. The hotel claimed to have left a notice in my room; however, no such notice was found, and it is likely I would have missed it given my recent arrival and exhaustion.
