Very simple, it was crowded due to airline cancellations. I went down stairs to make a dinner reservation but was told I could not which was disappointing, an hour later I came down for a wine glass and noted that the line was big and was disapointed that I couldn't reserve. I was told nothing at that time. So we came down at 5:30, again, and waited in line. some people were waiting in line, but not moving out of the way after speaking to host. so they SHOULD HAVE, just gone throughthe list and put you down on list and moved on. We waited for over half hour, just to get told, there was a page of people down there in front of us. I said can we at least order a drink, she said sure, but no method on "how to" was discussed. The host then said, you can go to your room if you want and we can call once a table comes available. That would have been nice to know at say 5pm, as we would have done that but now we didn't want tolose our spot and at 7:15, we got a table. Yes it was busy but it's a HILTON HOTEL and that kind of chaos is not what I would expect from the brand. To be cheeky, I can say that, that, would not happen at a Marriot property. We just wanted to eat early, so we could get to bed early as we have a 3am wake up call, We never got dinner until after 8pm so yes, not very happy with the service. The front desk host should have told us right from the beginning how to goabout this when we checked in.
