There was a huge dog that greeted us when we walked in the lobby, so it is a very pet friendly hotel. However, once we got into the room, we had to choose between the bed filled with bugs, or the bed with broken springs. We heard arguing, a lot of cursing, and things being thrown In the room next to us. Scared that we were witnessing domestic violence, I almost called the police and my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to check out early. Luckily, other people passing by were able to get help before us. Seconds after the dispute, we received a crank phone call thinking it was probably the front desk checking in on us or apologizing and verified this after calling back the front desk. Being in an uncomfortable position, one would think the hotel staff would have come to check on us, or address the scary behavior, but no such action was taken. There wasn't any security here and my boyfriend thinks the crank call might've been people sweeping rooms to see who was/wasn't in their rooms. we r easy to please, but little efforts make such a big difference likeFinding a little hotel shampoo, but instead we felt almost like we had been camping. Sad to say, we will not be staying again. But we will be back to Tahoe/Kings Beach!
