The hotel is similar to the Expedia advertisement, the rooms are comfortable and of an adequate size, clean and with some amenities that are always appreciated. The staff's attention is good and I am glad that it includes breakfast, which is not necessarily varied, but it saves time and a little money. About the location it is one block from a subway station and three from Penn Station, which allowed us to get around very easily. My only criticism: when you book through Expedia and check-in, the staff asks you for a deposit of $150 that they will supposedly return to you at the end of your stay, but they do charge it as "taxes." I suggest that the hotel provide clearer information about this. But other than that, I highly recommend Holiday Inn Chelsea.
