So my family checked in on a Saturday evening as a stop for our visit to the beach the following day. All that we need was a comfortable, clean and quiet place to sleep. This hotel was located behind a Motel 6. And it was very quiet, perhaps underused. The hotel staff that checked me in was okay, but didn't seem friendly. Went up to our room on the 2nd Floor and the room temp was 80°F. There was also an absence of basic toiletries in the bathroom. No big deal since we had our own, and really just needed a place to sleep. Set the Cool On and 3 hours later, it was still 80°F! Too hot to get comfy in a stuffy room. Asked to move to another room and after packing up my family, including a 4 year old, moved to the 4th Floor. The hallway immediately felt hot, stale and stuffy. Walked into the new room at 11:40pm, and it was 93°F!! No way it would get cool enough. I was done. We checked out! Made the 2 hour drive home and ended up missing out on our beach visit.
Not to mention, but my family recently stayed in a very nice 2 bedroom condo resort in Kissimmee with lots of amenities and close to Disney for less per night than the 2 Queen Bedroom at the LQ near the highway without a pool.
Still waiting to hear back from LQ staff.
