I wanted a more "local" experience because this was our first visit to Quebec City. My travelling companion, my teen-age son, and we wanted to enjoy as much local flavor as possible. Imagine our delight to find that we were on the boardwalk and as fun as that is, it could have been quite noisy. Because of the old building, no sound passed through at all. It was quiet and relaxing!
The staff is undeniably the kindest and most outgoing I have ever experienced. They were genuinely concerned with making our stay one to remember.
The common areas were lovely. A Kitchen and outdoor seating area well shaded and pleasant day and evening.
The onsite parking we paid for was extremely helpful. As space is limited I would suggest leaving the trucks at home and opting for a more compact vehicle.
My only notable recommendation for future visits is that a room or two that are dedicated "no scent / perfumed products" would be extremely helpful. The staff was generous in trying to solve the issue for me, but these products used in bedding and carpets do hang around. Those of us that have compromised immune systems are highly effected by these chemicals.
The beds were too firm for my taste, though a large assortment of pillows helped with this.
All in all, so long as we can get a scent free room, we will definitely be back!
