In a nutshell: Modern and clean with friendly staff but some operational failures (shuttle, late rooms, poor room setup).
We had a mixed stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The hotel looks great with modern green architecture, quiet carpeted hallways, and cool dimmable lighting. Our large family had three rooms, two of them were spacious, clean, and had a comfy king-size bed. Housekeeping was especially friendly (big thanks to the Portuguese lady with the cool hair.) Some front desk staff were helpful, and the waitresses in the restaurant and Moroccan lunch shop guy were very accommodating.
On the downside, the shuttle service advertised only runs in the morning and evening (this wasn’t clearly mentioned.) This caused a lot of inconvenience and we had to pay expensive taxis. Rooms weren’t ready until late, and ours wasn’t next to the kids’ at all, which was not ideal. The rooms felt sparse and echoey with minimal furniture and noisy closet doors. Toilets were very uncomfortable, and the glass walls looked nice but didn’t open onto the wraparound deck. But any guest could access it through the emergency door and walk in front of anyone’s room! Could be a privacy issue.
Key cards kept failing, especially for the laundry rooms, which was frustrating. Breakfast timing was inaccurate, so we missed it!
It also felt a bit boring and incomplete.
Overall, while the hotel has potential and some great staff, the lack of clear communication and poor service follow-through affected our stay.
