We stayed at the Four Seasons in Cabo in early July, the hotel had just opened in May so everything was brand new! The hotel was very much going through a "soft opening" phase with some hits and some misses.
Some pros/cons during our stay:
Pros:
-Beautiful hotel, rooms set as casitas, felt private
-Mexican Hacienda vibe done well
-Free parking & valet (recommend renting a car for offsite dining)
-Large enough so it does not feel crowded but small enough to get around quickly
-We stayed over 4th of July, they did a nice job providing activities for kids & a lovely fireworks display on the beach
-Beach area is nice
-Nice location in between Cabo & San Juan, gated community and easy to find
Cons:
- Staff did not have their "rhythm" yet - food / drink orders took a long time
-While the noise of construction did not affect us, there is still a lot of drilling/hammering going on - ladders are everywhere, leaks are being fixed, screws / chipped paint found around the property
-At check out, we were hit with numerous taxes and a resort fee; NOTE: check your bill, we were double charged a tax that resulted in a $600 overcharge which they did remove from our bill fairly quickly
-Food choices at the restaurants were limited, best to go offsite for better choices in Cabo
-Service could have been better - pool staff were "pushy" on ordering more drinks - I think they were trying to be helpful but it came off as overbearing
