We were given a room with a shower that didn’t drain. The lady at the front desk tried a plunger and left. It still didn’t work. She told us we’d have to wait until the next day and offered no other solution, so we had to use extra towels to keep the bathroom from flooding. While dealing with that, my wife picked up a pillow and a bug fell out. I looked in the pillow case to find a disgusting yellow stained pillow. The bug turned out to be a German cockroach. She moved us to another room on a different floor, only for us to find two silverfish on the fold-out bed, one on top and one in the sheets. By now it was nearly midnight. I asked for a refund since both rooms had bugs in the bedding. We have two small kids and weren’t about to let them sleep with bugs. She offered yet another room (no thanks) and then claimed there was nothing else she could do because of the holiday. She promised to follow up Tuesday but never did. I messaged her twice on WhatsApp and was ignored both times. We left at 11:30 p.m. and drove 4.5 hours home in the middle of the night. Hotels.com support tried to help but couldn’t get the manager to approve the refund. This place is disgusting, unprofessional, and clearly doesn’t care about guests’ health or basic hygiene. Stay far away.
