I stayed for a couple of days during Easter 2017. You have to realize this is a two-star hotel, and adjust your expectations by it. That said, it's a great hotel for the price and it's location is awesome.
When I arrived the room was ready and spotless. The bathroom shined, no grime or water stains whatsoever. I got plenty of towels and the room in general was very clean.
TV worked fine, it has SKY, so you get an acceptable selection of channels. WiFi was also good. Remember to grab the password in the reception from the "WiFi bowl".
The elevator is somewhat creepy, but it works. The front desk was helpful every time we needed something, but there is no phone in the room, you need to go downstairs in person for that.
Location is incredible. Two blocks away from the Union Square. You have most of SF downtown within walking distance, and if you are a walker, you can get to the piers with ease. Don't miss the Farmers Market, it's awesome.
I would book it again if I am visiting SF on another occasion.
