Wonderful place!

What a fabulous find! I can’t imagine being more central to all the locations & sites. We walked to the Pantheon, colosseum, Trevi fountain, the Spanish steps, and campo di fiori. The rooms are quaint & charmingly without feeling cramped. The staff is incredibly accommodating and the lobby is staffed 24/7. Even had a great rooftop area. We can’t wait to go back!

The staff for the most part was incredibly helpful, I’d say a little more helpful from when they realized I was Italian. Nonetheless, it’s a more affordable option because Romes prices are hiked crazy high so this place most definitely did the job.

Cute little hotel, there was a rooftop patio where we sat and had our lunch. Our room was in a separate building. Being an old building, there was a retrofitted lift which barely had room for my husband and I and our carryon bags. Room was nice and clean. It had heat, but unfortunately we could only turn on or off and could not control the temperature. So it was either cold, or very warm. Breakfast was simple, but enough to fill us for a busy day of walking.

Fantastic choice. Definitely recommended.
This hotel was the perfect choice! We are a family of 4 and visited Rome to see as many points of interest as possible. The location of the hotel was excellent. All monuments were a maximum of 15 minutes walk, except Vatican city which we took a taxi for €14 (we used the "free now" app) and another €15 for our return. Taxis at the Vatican city asked for €28 for our return and we said no. The hotel room was very clean and had two separate areas for sleep, something very convinient, given my daughters are teenagers and needed their privacy. Around the hotel there are a lot of restaurants either for a cheap quick bite or to sit at a table and get served. On the "down side", breakfast was nothing special, just standard items everyday served at the table and the wi-fi was very unstable. But it is a three star hotel so it is forgiven. If we visit Rome again, this hotel will be our first choice.

Location is good however hotel staff needs be a bit nicer. Arguing with the clerk about how old my child is would not be a way to start a stay. I think I know how old my own child is! A/C was on but at a very low level with no access to controls so useless in a hot weather. We had an ant infestation in the room and when checking out, the front desk knew about this and just said it was because it's an old building... We are in Rome; there are ONLY old buildings! We paid for 2 rooms even if the ant infested room was not used and we slept 4 in a small bed.

We loved the room we were moved into. However, the first room did not meet the expectations mentioned in the room description on Expedia. Make sure to call and verify the exact room you'll be booked into. We booked a standard deluxe room with a terrace and separate bedroom, for 4 people. However, the intifada room we were placed into had no terrace and the sofa bed was hardly for 2 people. It rocked back and forth. I complained and showed the photos of the room I booked. We were moved, thankfully, into the one room with a terrace and separate bedroom. I recommend reaching out before arriving. The room differences were night and day. There is only 1 room with a terrace and separate bedroom. For a family with kids that uses the hotel room a lot, this was a drastic difference for our stay.

From start to finish this hotel tried their best to ruin our time in every possible way. As soon as we walked in we saw the confusion on their face when they realized they booked us the wrong room. They took us up the elevator and showed us a twin bed instead of the queen and twin bed that we paid for. After we complained we went down to the lobby as they prepared a side room, literally a room that can only be accessed from the side of the building with a door that’s nearly impossible to open and with no elevator as they forced us up two flights of stairs to a room that wasn’t even ready yet when they told us to go. They didn’t even offer to take anything up either, so we had to take 4 bags of heavy luggage up steep, narrow steps up to a room with no view at all and with no discount of refund mentioned. The worst part was the service, however, as mentioned before the door was nearly impossible to get into and so if we ever had to leave we had to go back to reception to get back in and they were rude and unhelpful every time we asked. They didn’t care about fixing their mistake nor were they in any way sorry they made it, they were just bothered that they had to do anything for their guests after that already took our money. On our last day when we asked them to call the shuttle to the hotel that they repeatedly told us they could do, however when the time actually came the shuttle never showed up and we had to race down the streets to find a taxi! We demand a refund.
