VERY steep stairs to access rooms. Little privacy in the apartment. The suposed "superior" room lacked any charm. Thin, poor quality walls -noice from neighbors-and very poor decoration. Poor light for reading in bed, dirty cupboards in the kitchen. No kitchen towels or paper. Nevertheless, the kitchen was nice and spacious; a pitty its use wasforbidden. No cooking allowed unless special permission by owner! What do you hire an apartment then insted of a more comfortable and cheaper hotel room?
As a positive comment, my "superior" room and bath room were very spacious. And luminous. Actually too much so, since the paper-thin cortains are merely decorative, and not even at noght is it possible to enjoy some darkness in the room.
The advertising also "forgets" to mention taht the suposed private bathroom is across a thin corridor to which the staff has access to the photocopy machine and luggage lift. At midnight I had staff members knocking on my door to acces this corridor and the lift, and
For 25% less money I got a much better deal at the Singel hotel Amsterdam the week before, great breakfast included and pay on the spot and with possibility of cancellation without a penalty, unlike at "Excellent" Rooms, where I had to pay in advance and didn't hace a chance to cancell.
