Pros: the receptionist/ manager was charming, friendly, responsive, polite, helpful, etc. The location is about 15 minutes walk from JR Station, and I liked to walk through the alleys from the station where I got to see the real Japan, not just the "touristy Japan". The narrow alley the hotel is in is quiet and safe.
Cons: the room of 3 tatami mats about 1/2 tatami of wood flooring is much too small for 2 people. The 2 futons take up the whole space so you can barely open the door, and no space is left to sit, arrange the luggage, etc. Bathroom/ restroom is as small as an airplane's. Breakfast (2500 yen) is unreasonably expensive, at least 3 fold what a similar breakfast at a restaurant would cost! You might get a much cheaper and better breakfast at 7-11. Absolutely no room services.
