We stayed in the winter with not many guests there and I’m assuming a totally different experience than that in the warmer months. No social vibe simply because not many guests. The open areas are warm but our room was very cold, and we have no in-room temp control. The room was very damp as well, and there were dehumidifiers in some of the open spaces so this is clearly an issue they’re aware of. One of the beds in our room was actually moist to the touch. The bathrooms could use some updating or atleast more detailed cleaning, or changing the trash since you’re advised to throw it in the bin vs down the toilet - it can get quite smelly and I can’t imagine the smell in the summer months!
The front desk staff did their jobs but weren’t really warm or hospitable. We were also here while there was significant snow on the ground and the steep staircase to the road wasn’t cleaned until day 3.
Overall, the value for money was good. Walkable to a food hall, modern area and the bus stop, but definitely not “10 minutes walk to the old town.” I would be open to returning in the summer months when it’s warmer and you can enjoy the lovely outside space.
