We looked forward to a weekend and decided to splurge - paid $350 a night - but were not expecting a cabin from the 1950s. An old, poorly equipped bathroom; a lumpy, pilled futon for a couch (glad we didn't have to sleep on it) no microwave it the kitchen, no paper towels (even after asking) no hair dryer (they did supply after asking) Mismatched dishes, plastic window blinds that wouldn't open and close without major effort. There was a loud noise that I thought was a bullfrog outside the window - but it was the refrigerator. If we had paid half the price I would expect some shabbiness, but we were truly shocked. The positive point of this place is the view- the marshes and lighthouse are gorgeous. The host was nice and helpful about the area. Maybe they can use the inflated price to make the inside nice, too.
