First of all, this is a reasonable hotel for the price and suitable for an overnight stay before or after a flight. In most places, this would be a 2 or 3-star hotel. We found it to be clean but many of the facilities listed simply do not seem to exist. There have obviously never been any plans for a poolside bar, for example - the pool was small and only had one sun lounger - I couldn't even see where they could have set up a bar. In fact, out of the three bars advertised, there appeared to only be one "executive" bar, which was closed the whole time we were there. In fact, there is very little in the way of entertainment.
We had mixed experiences with the staff. There was a general lacklustre approach dealing with guests, but we found the staff in the restaurant quite pleasant. For example, we had booked the larger "executive" room. When checking in, we were given the cheaper "deluxe" room. In fairness, this could have been an innocent mistake as we'd only placed the booking with Expedia fifteen minutes earlier. When we asked at reception to change, we were told we could have the executive room if we want "but there isn't much difference". If so, then why charge significantly more? When we got the room, it was much bigger than the deluxe so it really felt like they were reluctant to give up one of these rooms. Generally, most of the staff struggled with comprehending our English and, if they really want to give 5 star service, a lot more training is needed.
