This lodge is located on a hill with beautiful views of Island Lake. Let's start with telling my expierences from beginning to end. The lodge has it's own automatic fence and the first time time you'll need to push a button to come in. The parking area is a bit tight, but it works more of less. Then the owners came to me and gave me a nice introduction of the facilities and also about the interesting wildlife around the lodge. If you are lucky (or not) you can see a snake, or you can watch one of the owner's cats, they are very cute. The owners are German, and so do a lot of the other guests. So if you are from Germany you'll have great time here for sure, but I think everyone can like something about this lodge. The Wifi is kinda slow and most of the time unavailable in the room. It works okay in the living area downstairs.
They say it's a 4,5 star lodge and for me personally it wasn't a complete 4,5 star experience. I would rate is a 3 star lodge, based on slow WiFi (maybe typical for a 'luxury' lodge though), furniture/interior that is kinda old (especially the television) and based on it's overall appearance and feeling.
