This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with an accommodation. I had booked a deluxe two bedroom two bathroom apartment for myself and my brother in law as an essential stay prior to my sisters funeral. We arrived after hours, because of a delayed flight from New Zealand, and torrential rain a week after Cyclone Alfred. I agreed to phone on arrival to obtain keys. The signage was so poor I went into the wrong apartments. When I finally negotiated the correct apartments, even though the manager was on the premises he only directed me via phone to get to Reception, to collect keys, to negotiate an awkward car parking space, and inspect the premises - all while pouring rain, dark , unlit. treacherous tiled stairways to discover the most disgusting filthy room I have ever been in. Smelly, dirty bedspreads, 3 threadbare towels, three sachets of out of date coffee and tea , a collection of used opened assortment of previous tenants food , torn and tattered and dirty curtains or what was left of them on the windows , leaking doorways and windows , rain coming in dripping on floors, drawers filthy , utensils dirty, cupboards shoved with appliances stacked haphazardly, half empty toilet rolls, no wifi instructions, Clean sheets but poorly made beds, spider webs on the interior windows with dead blowflies caught in them , everywhere I looked I discovered more built grime! Too tired to negotiate anything - put up with it for one night - then vigorously complained.
