Probably the worst hotel we have stayed in.
Main issue was the cleanliness, hopefully i can add photos to this review to show the state on the Bedding, looked like the sheets hadnt been washed since someone deficated on them!!! As for the smell in the room, what looked like someone died on the carpets and the food looking like it had been out for days!
If we could have moved hotels that evening we would have, but it was late when we arrived.
Staff response to the state of the rooms...."well it's one of our nicest rooms...." but it doesnt matter if its so dirty!
Anyway, we checked out the next day rather than staying for the 3 nights booked.
The general manager said "he understood and that we should apply for the refund of the 2 unused nights through Expedia and that he would sort it out at his end. The team at Expedia were very helpful but guess what, refund rejected.
Having now tried twice to contact Radisson directly with no response we decided to do this review.
Having had an amazing stay at the Radisson Red in Cape Town recently, it is not the chain, but i think a management change in Kandy would help!
One final word of warning, the TukTuk driver in the smart white outfit who hangs around the hotel and is friends with the luggage guy at the hotel should be barred. He is aggressive, threatens you when you just want to walk to the Lake, threatens taxi drivers! Beware.
I dont like giving these kinds of reviews but needs doing to save other travellers.
