This was an older hotel but was clean and quiet. You can walk to the winery, brewery, bakery and every restaurant in town. We lived watching the boats in the harbor and in the lake. The nearby bakery was one of the best I have ever been to.

Room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. They very willingly gave us a different room. After being in that room for a short period it had same stale smoke smell. Smell is covered with flowery smell. No deadbolt or chain lock on door. Sink stopper broken-we tied it open with a string. Only the bathroom register worked…one in bedroom area did not. Many reviews about beautiful view are very overrated. Can see some water from parking area. Over priced for quality. Desk clerk pleasant and very willing to help with smell.

My wife and I always read the reviews and and our number one criteria is cleanliness and this place was rated high and in our opinions it was clean. Service was excellent. Bed was comfortable. No bar noice, but that could be a concern. Could use a make over, but I would stay there again.

We've been coming to this motel for many years. It's right on Lake Michigan. seems good, clean, new carpeting in the room and the bed was comfortable. Because it is an older Motel it's not new and fancy but kept up nicely. It's a great place to stay if you want to go fishing on the lake at the pier, which we always do. Manager was very nice!! We'll stay there again!!
