Hospitality was zero, this being a hotel living on that very word, that’s about as low as it gets. I got extensive travel experience and never encountered such behavior. The assumed General Manager on site, a male, working the night shift on Sept 16 was incredibly rude and uncooperative. We asked for a one hour late check out saying that I had a zoom meeting the next morning and were on the road, we got a “I can give you 30mins” with the reason that “they will have other guests coming the next day” - you would hope they have other customers showing up in the future since that is the very income of a hotel. When I asked if there was anywhere else on the property I could sit and take my meeting that would end at 12, I got a flat no. Eventually we negotiated to a “11.45 checkout” with a lot of pain, if it wasn’t for the fact it was 11pm in the middle of Iowa with limited hotels, I would have just left. Needless to say, checking out in the morning (11.45am) - not on single customer on premises. Bad. Book something else, we do not was to support this type of business practice.
