Lovely restoration of an ancient mill, converted now into a comfortable, inviting, set of cottage-like rooms and separate buildings. Flowers and greenery are everywhere. The sound of flowing water, which was used many years ago for the mill works, provided a calming backdrop to this magical place, artfully and lovingly restored and decorated. The owner, Luis and his wife Victoria are some of the most charming and welcoming hosts we've had the fortune to encounter in our travels. Their attention to our comfort, and their overall warmth made us feel as if we were with family.
My husband's 80th birthday happened to occur on the second day of our stay. To our surprise and his delight, the owners, their staff and two of their young nephews presented him, at the end of our delicious breakfast, with a little birthday cake, in the form of a plane, which is my husband's hobby - which by the way we briefly had mentioned in passing - plus a hand drawn birthday card by one of the boys. It was so unexpected, yet it was the type of gesture thoughtful people do with such grace.
All in all a wonderful experience which we won't forget.
