The property is really gorgeous and the villas are stunning. I think in a few years it will become something else entirely as the area is still being developed. For now, the services they offer (yoga, spa, restaurant, experiences) could use some improvement and the staff could benefit from being properly trained in these services and better trained in hospitality. There's also not much to do in the area, other than be in the retreat and eat at their restaurant and book their "experiences". So the services need to be really good, and right now they are just average.
As far as experiences, we did the baby coral planting and that was really unique and memorable (A bit short in my opinion, I kind of wanted to snorkel and explore longer as it was so beautiful). We also did the Mt. Ijen hike. It was very cold and very dusty (so, prepare for that), we had to hike at night to get to the crater and the view was so beautiful, which made it worth it, but it was definitely challenging. We didn't appreciate that we were told the trip was private (and paid for a private tour) but our driver brought someone else to join us. We didn't necessarily care, but just an example of proper training in hospitality.
Overall, a good experience and I think I'd come back in a few years with a larger group and rent out one of the big villas, because it really is gorgeous and they have a beautiful property. My feedback is meant for them to improve.
