The service was very friendly, and I appreciated the maple candies at the desk. I had been told before that I got the last room available, and I believed it, as I'd called 6 others that were full. The parking lot was jammed full, so I couldn't park near my room. As soon as I walked in the room, I could see how dirty the carpet was, both ground in dirt and various dust and other detritus sprinkled around. It was bad enough I didn't want to take off my shoes, and when I did, it felt pretty gross. The curtains covering the back window were closed, so I opened them...to find the window glass had been knocked out, and it was replaced with a piece of cardboard taped on with masking tape. The bathroom had a pretty new looking vanity/sink, mirror, shelf unit, and toilet, so that was good. On the other hand, the toilet wobbled to one side when you sat on it, the tub was all scuffed up and had no drain plug, and the bathroom walls were dinged up in several places with paint chipped off. However, the shower worked well enough and was remarkably quiet compared to most other hotels. Back in the main room, the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, but the bedspread/duvet cover was wrinkly, like it had been used or left crumpled up. The TV worked just great. This was an okay place to sleep, but I was happy to get out of there early the next morning.
