Om Shanti is a smaller sea side hotel with all the necessary amenities one needs to be comfortable. We found the beds comfy, a/c cold, room clean, and restaurant moderately priced with a wide variety of menu items. Nice details like toiletries in the bathroom, clotheslines and water faucets outside for clothes/ sandy shoes...made us appreciate this place more.
Having been in Goa before, we had a bit to compare this beach/ hotel to. Om Shanti is great to just chill. It has a certain relaxing vibe that is nice. You'll find a mix of families and older tourists, solo travelers, everyone in between here among the guests.
The restaurant's food is fresh and delicious. They need a better cold coffee/ iced coffee option for us iced coffee people. Their evening bluesy- jazz option playlist was a bit much for us during dinners....but we had a longer stay. It's pleasant in short bouts, perhaps.
Overall, the location is great. Morning beach walks feel more intimate and peaceful here. Shopping and groceries literally a minute's walk away.
No complaints; only a suggestion that the staff smile more and be less serious looking. Other than that, we extended our stay. We plan on returning to South Goa and Om Shanti again.
