I arrived just before 12:30am (as per listing instructions) to check-in. There was no signage indicating that Lobby was on the 2nd floor. Once I found it, almost all lights were off in the lobby. Upon showing my reservation to the woman at the front desk she pointed at two security guards standing near the elevators. None of them spoke any English (which is fine but), they pulled out a binder where I was expected to write my name and passport number. Upon doing so, I was directed to the elevators with no key, no room number, and no additional information. Not knowing where to go, I used Google Translate to explain. The younger of the two guards put me in the elevator, pressed a floor number, and then left. Upon arriving at that floor, again, there was no clear signage. At one dark end of the hall I found an A-frame sign that had clearly been changed multiple times saying only "Check-in Rm 1213". I am sure many of you would have turned away at that point - - but I continued on to room 1213 and knocked on the door. I heard a yell in response to my knock, but after another minute or so, no one came to answer the door. At this point I gave up and was VERY LUCKY that I had friends I could call to stay with that night.
That said, I am sure this place is fine for day-time check-ins, for business travellers staying long periods of time, or those who can actually speak some Chinese.
I am leaving this review in hopes the listing gets changed to reflect this fact.
