Staff was great. Room was nice. We got the Apartment which worked well for us to have some light meals in the room with an almost completely separate bedroom from living area. Garage is a little tight if you have a large vehicle.

The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, the breakfast is abundant and offers a good variety. The property is located right in front of a large, beautiful park where Goethe's garden house still stands. The personnel are friendly. In general, Weimar was a delight.

Hôtel service was weak at reception as we were sent to a parking 20 Minutes walk away from the hotel. (Our car is a 4x4 which is 2.10 meter high and could not enter the hotel parking) The next day the other receptionist was sorry for that (as we could have left the car in front of the hotel) and was very kind and offered us a compensation charging only half the breakfast cost.

Very attractive hotel facing parkland easy walking distance to beautiful old town of Weimar. We had booked a standard double room but were upgraded under Expedia VIP program to a Suite which was very classy. The room had everything we look for in a hotel and parking in the underground carpark was 20 Euro per night. We had a lovely dinner and drinks on the hotel terrace using our VIP vouchers. The Hotel and the sights and ambience of Weimer is highly recommended

We had a delightful stay here with friends and family. The hotel is in close proximity to the Goethe Museum and the shopping/restaurants in the old section of town. We were able to walk to everything. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. Rooms were efficient, but dated. The carpet needs to be replaced in the rooms my family stayed as no amount of carpet cleaning would refresh it. The bathrooms, although dated, were well maintained and clean. I would stay here again.

The Dorint features a spa but their response for massages was too slow to take advantage; best to book ahead. Tight squeeze getting in and out of the Dorint garage.
