Visit to Hartlepool
The hotel was good value for money . I had visited this hotel about 10 years and I remember having bed and breakfast ,a full English breakfast in the restaurant. However on my latest visit that all closed . In fact when I got to the door a notice gave me a telephone number to ring so as to.gain entry . It was however adaquate for my two day stay in the town.

The hotel was filthy, stain on the pillow case, stained bedside furniture and table. There was an old dirty fridge with a half bottle of water inside. We left straight away. Looking for a refund frim Hotels.com

Get what you pay for
Overall I suppose you get what you pay for, check in ok involved phone call, room ok, next morning going to get showered, no towels, so tried hot tap on sink for wash no hot water, couldn't get TV to work but only minor problem wasn't sat in room long

In the middle of a badly needed refurb.
The hotel was halfway through a much needed refurbishment, however this meant duvets filled corridors, wet paint on multiple walls and there were still electrical fittings hanging off the walls (including, rather disconcertingly the shower fan switch dangling over the bath). That said, the room was a good size and the staff were friendly.

Barely adequate
I guess you get what you pay for! Could not login to connect to wifi. Spoke to someone on the phone and met no-one.

I didn't want to post a negative review but this is several times that I've been chased up. For the price the place is fine but unfortunately the rooms aren't closed after cleaning. On entering the room the toilet was full and the flush wasn't working, not a great problem as a bucket nearby. Otherwise no problems.

Tiny room, small bed, no staff around, two of four light fittings broken, only extremely limited choice of TV (only two channels working), very hot room (no AC or fan), more like a hostel than a hotel - not a welcoming place...

Basic hotel but with parking issues
Very basic hotel (which was expected considering the price) and the room was VERY tired looking with what looked like a repaired (but not painted) ceiling and the worst view of any hotel I've ever stayed in. I do have an issue with the parking, It is listed as having parking, which I queried to be told that it was residential on street parking, which would be a problem if I checked in before 6pm or out after 8am, as outside of those times, the parking is permit only.

Absolutely disgusting! room hadnt been clean empty bottle of vodka left in room from previous person. Dead flys stuck to wall used sugar packets left on floor. Stained carpets all round dirty room. Bathroom walls cracked. No bar or restaurant open. Will not be returning!

Unacceptable customer service
I got there, knowone to greet us, they couldnt find our booking, so we had to find another hotel last minute, paying extra money we did not budget for. At 2am the hotel emailed, stated they could not facilate a room, and now after 6 days I am still trying to get our money back.

Don't recommend this hotel to anyone
Only ever talked to the owner by phone, who sent me a text with a room number, to find someone else in that room. Rang up again and he sent a second text for a different room. No towels or cups in the room, rang up again, and we found them left outside our door on our return but only 1 large towel and 1small, and cardboard cups. No hot water at all, in sink or shower for the 2 days we were there. TV remote not working. Other people in other rooms had the same problems - see photo

My sister-in-law room they had no hot water another person in room 4 had no hot water and no electricity i have videos and photos. And im looking for a full refund

On arrival windows wide open. Freezing cold. This was to try and get rid of the smell of damp. Black mould on the walls. No cover on the light. Door handles snapped off. Unable to lock window. No hot water pressure. Lates of dust on bed head. Seat threadbare. No one on reception no staff available on phone. I left. Has to be the worst hotel I’ve ever been in.

Room not clean, fire alarm went off at 5.30am, everyone standing outside for half an hour, tried calling both numbers for the hotel and out of hours, no one answered or called back, after an hour standing in the rain with obviously no staff on site we re entered the building potentially risking our lives and got our bags and left, we continued our sleep in the vans… I’m presuming they’re housing homeless as young kids were partying till around 3am in one of the rooms, very noisy - absolutely no good when you need to sleep and have work the next day

Poor
Hotel was easy enough to find from the train station. Upon arrival, reception un-manned and a phone number to call to gain access. Restuarant, bar and other facilites not open and seemingly untouched for years, all seemed very un-secure. Room was open with key on bed, not hoovered and hald eaten condiments. No tea or coffee facilites and masking tap round he floor in bathroom where decoration had taken place? Overall very grimey and dirty albeit bedding seemed clean enough. Does anyone actually manage this property? No staff present at all and seemed like no care or attention given to this hotel for many many years. Speaking with locals, their response when mentioning where we were staying was somewhat to be desired. Honest review, do not book this hotel until it has been closed, refurbished and rightly cared about.

Real life Faulty Towers
A very basic and poorly maintained hotel. Upon arrival 7pm(ish) I was greated with a locked front door and a note on it saying to call the main hotel phone number. A man answered and directed my attention to a key pad on the wall, to type in a code for access and directed to my room. My room was a fair size but very basic. The whole place needs a lot of TLC. Taps were loose, other fixtures and fittings broken. Spot mould on walls and ceiling in bathroom. Signs of water damage on the walls around the window. There wasn't even a spoon with the tea and coffee set. Stiring my tea with my car key had to do. I managed to trip both the sockets and lights breakers when attempting to turn on the towel rail. An hour wait for the breakers to turned back on wasn't great. Especially, when I was told someone would be there in around 15-20mins. And to top things off, I got woken by drunken couple, in a neighbouring room, arguing and slamming doors at around 1:15am, which went on till gone 3am. So, all I can say is stay well away
