Lovely staff, good location, bad internet, hard be
The staff were lovely and did their best in spite of language probkems. Suggest giving them clear short written notes. I was here for 4 days gone for eight and back for one and they remembered a specisl request I made the first time. Excellent location, just beside the global trade centre. On the negative side the Internet access is really bad- even by Chinese standards and the mattress is quite hard.

Checking is at a shared counter with offices. There was only a single clerk at the counter when I checked in around 2PM. Building is quite old and 3 old elevators are small and slow, there were long waiting lines in the morning. Room is quite small amenities were few.

A corporate-type hotel in a financial area
The hotel was quite nice but not exotic. The staff were very friendly, happy to translate via smartphone. The rates were excellent given the quality. The beds are HARD compared to common US mattresses. A "continental" breakfast is available, either free or for a small charge (depending on your room type/rate) that includes some hot Chinese dishes, toast, and soup, with coffee or tea. Silverware is available if you can't operate chopsticks. The hotel does not look like a hotel - it's more an office building with a hotel and a fitness club. It's a short walk to a subway station and a shorter walk to one of the bus rapid transit lines. There is not a lot of shopping in the area but a short transit ride can take you anywhere.

Average-bad service. No English speaking staff.
If you don't speak Chinese don't dare to stay here.
None of the staff speaks one word. Simple things like check in, get a taxi, noise in the building were hard.
The room was clean but the cigarette smell was all over the room. Breakfast was not the best. However, the people at the restaurant try to accommodate some western food. Coffe was horrible. The pool was closed.
