The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly enough but the room was so in need of a refresh. Not even a proper wardrobe and the shelves were filthy, toilet was stained and bathroom smelled of damp. Basic was not the word and it wasn't cheap, we'd have paid the same for Premier Inn with a comfy bed, bedside light, proper wardrobe and freshly decorated. We had to have windows open as it was so hot and all we could hear all night was the staff chatting, singing and laughing all night the 1st night then I think all they did the 2nd night was walk in circles around the building, we were opposite the stairs and all we could hear was them talking loudly then when they got back down to the staff quarters we could still hear them. I think the last time I heard them was 5am. We were going to spend the day around the City before we headed home but we were so exhausted we just couldn't wait to get home. Fawlty Towers was like the Ritz compared to this place.
